Homeroom Teacher

Job Description 

• Homeroom Teacher must work collaboratively with colleagues in planning the delivery of the IG / IB / American curriculum.
• Plan according to the school’s schedule, calendar and timelines and being punctual with deadlines required by the school.
• Apply teaching approaches that will indicate an understanding of this critical personal and Intellectual development stage, encompassing early puberty and mid-adolescence.
• Modify teaching approaches to accommodate different ranges of ability levels and learning styles in their class.
• Teach consistently high-quality lesson plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements of the IG / IB / American.
• Link on-going individual student assessment with planning for individual student needs.
• Attend all scheduled meetings for administrative and curriculum purposes to facilitate information sharing and collaborative planning.
• Be an open and effective communicator with all constituents in the school, contributing to meetings in a positive and collegiate way.
• keep a record of their planned approach and practice in the classroom on a weekly basis, including records of student progress, student appraisal, and evidence and analysis of data.

Job Requirements 

• Native English speaker is a must
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
• PGCE / QTP diploma of teaching or equivalent is a plus
• Bachelor degree in education is a plus
• Experience in teaching UK Cambridge / American / or IB Curriculum
• Overseas experience is a plus
• Ability to effectively manage a class
• Excellent command in using Microsoft Office, and Smart Boards
• Professional appearance
• A leader, who can be friends to his/her students and puts the right limits at the same time
• A good planner who can set the academic plan and follows it up throughout the year
• Ability to give and follow orders, and acceptance of criticism that helps one to improve
