Job Description 

  • Subject teacher must work collaboratively with colleagues in planning the delivery of the IB / American / IG curriculum.
  • Emphasize in planning the connections between curriculum areas and explicitly focus on trans-disciplinary / Global context or required skills.
  • Write annual professional goals and updating them as appropriate.
  • Plan according to the school’s schedule, calendar and timelines and being punctual with deadlines required by the school.
  • Apply teaching approaches that will indicate an understanding of this critical personal and Intellectual development stage, encompassing early puberty and mid-adolescence.
  • Take into account in their teaching the fact that at this stage it is important for the students to learn how to learn and how to evaluate Information critically and understanding that this is as important as learning facts.
  • Modify teaching approaches to accommodate different ranges of ability levels and learning styles in their class.
  • Attend all scheduled faculty meetings for administrative and curriculum purposes to facilitate information sharing and collaborative planning.
  • Be an open and effective communicator with all constituents in the school, contributing to meetings in a positive and collegiate way.

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field.
  • Educational Certification is a plus.
  • Preferably a minimum of three years experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English. 
  • Excellent command in using Microsoft Office, and Smart Boards
  • Experience working with students.
