We are proud to provide outstanding facilities for our students to develop a wide range of talents, skills and abilities, and to make sure our students are engaged and inspired.
CLASSROOMS
All LIS classrooms are very well equipped with top of the range smart boards and projectors. LIS has obtained the license from the local authorities in Egypt to limit the maximum number of students per class to only 20 students as an absolute maximum. This limit is now mandatory by law and will provide assurance to parents, students and teachers of the high quality of the educational standards LIS seeks.
We value our students, so we aim to provide them with comfortable facilities that increase their ability to acquire knowledge. Our classrooms are designed not only to enhance students’ ability to learn, but also encourage students to gain knowledge.
Each class can accommodate the students with a suitable size, allowing the students to interact during teaching process and ensure a healthy environment for them.
All classrooms are air-conditioned, sunny, ventilated and well-lit, equipped with:
Reading corner with a library full of different reading genres and resources
Interactive smart and whiteboards, accompanied by an IT open access corner

ART
At LIS we do not only focus on academic standards, but we also believe in enriching the students’ artistic talents and their sense of creativity through various arts. Therefore, the school has two spacious, well-equipped art rooms.
Our purpose-built art and design studios allow students to explore a wide variety of art and design techniques, including printmaking, painting, sculpture and drawing.
MUSIC
LIS has two spacious music rooms that support the teaching of music for the curriculum. A wide variety of additional musical extracurricular activities are offered through lunch time and after-school clubs. We, at LIS, provide many instruments such as organ, guitar, drums, etc. Training comes under professional teachers.
The program will be varied and appropriate to various interests to enable all students to participate in performances throughout the year. LIS students share their happiest moments singing and playing their favorite music. We do support students who already have the talent of singing to participate in the events and the annual Show.

Beyond the development of skills, our sporting facilities support students in their goals of leading healthy and active lifestyles. LIS provides outstanding opportunities for students and staff to develop their sports’ interests and abilities, and to involve themselves in diverse sports based on their preferences. Our goal is to provide students with the opportunity to be physically active, as well as to build character through the development of respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
LIS gives students the opportunity to enjoy sports and exercise all-year through, even in the summer. A variety of sports are offered throughout the school year and we provide a fully equipped gymnasium under the supervision of professional trainers. SCIENCE LABS
LIS proudly offers three fully-equipped science laboratories. The science learning goals of laboratory experiences include enhancing mastery of science subject matter, developing scientific reasoning abilities, increasing understanding of the complexity and ambiguity of empirical work, developing practical skills, and increasing understanding of the nature of science.
LIS students get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts, thus making teaching and learning easy for both the teachers, as well as for the students.
CLINIC
The School has Two hygienic medical rooms, equipped to regulatory standards. School medical rooms are staffed by a full time Nurse. Our in-house Doctor attends to the first aid requirements of students and staff should the need arise. All cases of injury or illness receive immediate medical attention.
All students receive regular medical examinations and our dispensary works in close conjunction with the Government of Egypt. LIS Clinic Team provides emergency medical treatment and advice to all LIS staff and students during the working hours, including playground and EYFS injuries.

LIS BUS SERVICE
LIS offers a high quality Air Conditioned transportation service for both students and staff members covering different areas of Cairo. Safety and punctuality are the quality that LIS Transportation Office maintains. Bus transportation is an extension of LIS, therefore all behavior on school sponsored transportation is subject to LIS Code of Conduct. Huge number of LIS school buses run by: Badr, Obour, Madinaty, Shorouk, New Cairo, Mokatam, Nasr City, Heliopolis and Maadi. They stop at regular bus stops. These buses are available only to our students and at the specified times in the morning and after school. Students in Grade EYFS to Grade 12 can sign up for the bus service.
LIS RESTO: SCHOOL CANTEEN
A healthy lifestyle starts with basics like making the right food choices. LIS Resto offers the students a healthy menu with local, sustainable ingredients and dishes that are tasty and affordable. A well maintained Resto sells healthy snacks and drinks during break times. Hygiene and strict quality control of food are regarded as top priority. The nutrition teachings students learn about in class are put into practice in our cafeteria, helping to positively influence their food choices at school, at home, and outside in the wider community.
ABOUT US
Located beside Badr University (BUC), LIS offers a blended curriculum, adapted and extended to meet the needs of our Egyptian students. We have trained and qualified teachers delivering strong Curriculum Framework for our students in FS, Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and American Diploma.
