LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

At LIS, we are always trying to bring together many topics at school, to discuss them, to work out plans for implementation together and to promote school development. In addition, we always take a look at the (educational) world and explore new methods and possibilities of teaching. It is very important for us in this process to involve everyone – students, teachers and parents – to inspire the school community for current and future topics, and to learn together.

Mastering languages is the key to cultures, our educational vision is for all students to achieve equal oral and written proficiency in English and French / German by the time they leave school.

We also intend for our students’ level of Arabic to equal their level of English and French / German when they finish their studies.

  We aim to develop a deep love for the French / German languages and universal values in all of our students.

Learning materials and the scope and sequence of the curriculum have been designed and written for the school’s own specific needs and help children reach a high level of language and structure in French at an early age. Our approach is that mastery of French, whether as a mother tongue or as a second language, requires an orderly and analytical style of learning.

We offer a rigorous English – French / German bilingual curriculum, we also offer the Arabic language and literature. Teachers use the latest technology and a range of effective teaching strategies to allow our students to acquire skills and knowledge in all of their subjects.

Located beside Badr University (BUC), LIS offers a blended curriculum, adapted and extended to meet the needs of our Egyptian students. We have trained and qualified teachers delivering strong Curriculum Framework for our students in FS, Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and American Diploma.
