At LIS, from EYFS to Year 9, we have a blended education system: British Approach, American Core, IB Way. By the end of Year 9, LIS students have the choice to select either IGCSE or American Diploma to continue their high school.

HOW DO STUDENTS CHOOSE THEIR DEPARTMENT ?
When students are in Grade 9, the counsellor collects information about their strengths and weaknesses as well as their interests. Each student is scheduled a meeting with the counsellor during Year 10 (American & IG departments), once they return to school at the beginning of the year, to discuss his / her future career. Suggested choices are made at that time. Final (official choice) is made at the beginning of the second week of the students’ back to school. It’s mandatory to fill in a “Student’s Choice Form” signed by the student and the parent, so that he / she can be officially enrolled in the selected department.

Located beside Badr University (BUC), LIS offers a blended curriculum, adapted and extended to meet the needs of our Egyptian students. We have trained and qualified teachers delivering strong Curriculum Framework for our students in FS, Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and American Diploma.
