Job Description
- Language Acquisition (HOD) inspire a unified ethos throughout the team by building on existing good practice and a shared love and commitment to the study of foreign languages and foreign culture.
- To manage and carry out the performance management of French, German and subject teachers.
- To work with French, German, and subject teachers to identify where a more consistent approach, joint development and the wider sharing of existing good practice would be of benefit to all.
- To support and encourage teachers in curriculum development.
- To foster, promote and co-ordinate cross curricular approaches and developments.
- To liaise with academic coordinator over timetabling and to contribute as necessary to the planning of the school timetable.
- To maintain an up to date set of schemes of work and syllabuses for all areas within the faculty.

- Current VIT registration.
- Detailed understanding of curriculum issues at state, national and international levels .
- Proven use of technology in the classroom.
